BioMy name is Diane, but I go pretty unanimously by Día (Dee-Ah).
I goof off all the time, and because of this habit I'm well known for my quirkiness. My sense of humor is perverted, with a hint of morbid curiousity, and liberal undertones. Basically, I say random, offputting things on a daily basis. Don't let this misguide you! All jokes aside, I'm a fairly serious person in nature. I'll goof around quite willingly and without regard, but I find myself openly discussing things that make others uncomfortable for the sake of debating them. I admit that perhaps this is dealt with egotism, as I feel I'm more equipped to present my point of view then many others are... as I have spent my life thus far (a good eighteen years) defending myself against those who were slow to approach the atmosphere of the 21st century.
That said, it shouldn't be much of a surprise to note that I'm agnostic - that flimsy little word used to disparrage christianity, yet remain safely away from the atheist's battleground. I do believe in a God (a non-gendered one, but a God nonetheless), and am at some level or another "spiritual"... in that I don't believe the afterlife is a completely ridiculous idea. But who is to know? I'm focused on finding happiness now, albeit in a good, somewhat morally just fashion.
I spend my time writing little things, and doodling. I also take psychoanalyzing others to be a proud habit of mine, and won't hesitate to study people. My previously mentioned "ability" to say startling things comes in handy when gauging reactions. I don't do this antagonistically. I simply can't relate to many people on any realistic level (superfically, yes), and find that understanding why people are the way they are helps me to accomodate myself to others.
In this way, I find it particularly easy to make friends when the mood strikes me. I'm understanding and friendly towards nearly all people, because I don't find myself set back by old judgements or specifications. As long as you're nice to me, I don't care what race you identify yourself as, what sexual preference you have, what religion you devote yourself to, or what style of clothing you wear to express yourself. I will listen to absolutely anything you have to say, but be aware that I will present my opinions. If we're friends, I feel it is my duty to be honest and direct with you... even if we choose to disagree.
So, go ahead and say hi to me! I'd love for us to be friends :)
